Visit to formation houses in the Province of Madagascar

Posted on by fsceditor

From April 24 to May 13, 2025, Brother Luc Boudreault, councillor, visited the postulancy, novitiate and scholasticate of the Province of Madagascar.

It's probably not necessary to remind everyone that, for several years now, the Province of Madagascar has been the Institute's province with the largest number of members. This priority is also reflected in the number of people in formation at the various stages of formation. The Province of Madagascar has 9 postulants, 14 first-year novices (canonical), 14 second-year novices and 12 scholastic brothers in Antananarivo. In addition to these already numerous groups, there are 28 “juvénistes” who are taking two or three years to discern their vocation before initiating the postulate, there are a few scholastic brothers at the CIFA, in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and a few other scholastic brothers in Nairobi, Kenya.

For each stage of formation, there is a dedicated team of formators, and the life of the various communities is well structured with clear objectives. Community apostolic projects (PAC) set out the objectives to be achieved for the spiritual life, community life and apostolic life of all the communities.

The harvest is abundant in the province of Madagascar
