The English Language Conference [ELAC] has reached a significant milestone with the final realization of the creation of a common novitiate program. This long-awaited collaboration culminated in the blessing of the novitiate house at Matina community in Davao City in the Philippines on December 1, 2024, marking the initiation of the final stages.
The journey reached its pinnacle with the official acceptance of the first two novices during a solemn ceremony held on January 19, 2025. The inaugural novices, Brother Dat Tien Nguyen from Vietnam and Brother Rommel Jocson from the Philippines, were warmly welcomed into the novitiate house, marking a historic moment for the conference.
With this humble yet momentous beginning, the conference aspires to transform the novitiate into a vibrant home of formation for many more brothers in the future. The new novitiate program symbolizes a unified effort to nurture and guide the spiritual journeys of novices, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
The establishment of the common novitiate program signifies a commitment to collaboration and better religious formation, promising a hopeful future for the conference and the Institute.
